Kelardasht
"When I was a child/there was sorrow/but/ there was only a little"
Esmail Khoi
Acrylic on canvas, 80*80, 2008
Kelardasht is a little town with a pleasant climate in Mazandaran, Iran, which attracted many tourists and has been interfered with by too much construction and forest ruining throughout the decades. These paintings of the town go back to my final project to fulfill my BA. Those days I used to look around so positively that I did not care for the destruction of nature due to human construction in the forests of north of Iran. Instead, I was satisfied by the visual quality of the colorful ceilings of villas among the monochromatic greens of the area! The series includes eight 100*80cm canvases beside two 80*80 ones. I performed them in acrylic colors.
